Concert and Bubble Tea
I played viola da gamba in a small ensemble today at the MIA for family day. Several friends stopped by which was fun: Kristin, Christy, Becky, Ken, Katy, and her friend Brenda. I felt the love even when I hit some sour notes. I am most happy that there were no pictures of me wearing my all black ensemble with dark green oversized vest (Thank you, thrift store!). Those in the "spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak" category were Rick and Chad, both of whom fell asleep - Rick left a very nice phone message to let me know (thanks, pal. I know you tried to make it), and Chad-"race against the music"-Kuyper sped up to Mpls. with Jess to try and make it on time. then we went out to Brits for dinner and to the Tea Garden for bubble tea. Here is a pic I took with my new digital cam:

Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa...We'll have to soilicit you for a private performance, green vest and all. I'm sorry, buddy.
And can I help it if my stunning visage is so breathtaking that even random pictures of it do the world of photography a service?
...yeah, I think I just threw up a little. Yuk.
Chad - Seriously, don't feel bad man - I actually would have probably made more mistakes out of nervousness if too many people I knew were there (I get serious stage fright). It was fun to hang out afterwards at Brits and the Tea Garden with you, Jess and Katy. I had a blast.
Jess - I agree.
You were excellent and the museum was really fun. I'm glad that Kristin and I were able to go.
Hey, enquiring mind wants to know: what is bubble tea? Color me stupid.
Surf's up, when are we going board shopping?
Heather
Bubble tea is a south east asian (I think) creation. It is a flavored black or green tea with large (marble sized) black tapioca pearls that you suck up through a big straw. It's a very yummy drink, but also very odd. For more information, go to www.bubbletea.com
