A Note to the Blogerati

I got this e-mail from my brother this morning. Some time ago I'd sent him the link to my blog. Here's what he wrote:

Matt,

Thought you and your blogmates would get a kick out of this:  http://www.samizdata.net/blog/glossary.html

I considered posting on your blog but refrained with the terrible thought of worlds colliding: "Anskov, meet the Christensens."

I'll leave your geoblographic arena to you and yours, and remain the dirty blurker that I am.  It has been a nice diversion getting to know your circle.  I consider it my own little psycho-sociology lab--I'll have to show you my journal notes on each of you at the next family function.

Give everyone my thanks.  I will be sure to get the proper documents and waivers before I release my findings to the Journal of Remedial Science.  My work is titled, "Psychosis and Orientation Transference of Higher Education and the Academically Depressed" (POTHEAD).  I should have enough material to finish a month early, but I am intrigued by Subject # 4's challenges at Applebee's.  This unexpected turn of events has opened a whole new dimension to my research.  Fascinating.  Simply fascinating.

It's been a somber week for me.  Lit a candle for Dr. HST leaving this world prematurely--bummer.  By the way, your latest post ending with Macedonia was dead-solid perfect.  Nice work.

Love,
Pete

(If you feel the urge to post this to your blog-o-sphere, I give you my permission.  It shouldn't interfere with my research.  Normally this sort of thing would be frowned upon... you know, communicating directly with laboratory subjects, etc, etc.  But my research is complete (except of course the Applebee's segue, to be titled, "The Health Issues Surrounding Job and Occupational Bias, Sycophantic and Utero-Cacophonic Kitchen Staff), and yes, "job" & "occupational" are redundant in the lay-sense, but I make a clear distinction in the paper).

Thanks, Pete. You rock, man.

Dang. Not only am I important enough to be a subject, I am fourth most important. And my woes have added an entirely new dimension to the research! Wow.

Man, you Christensen kids are one witty, articulate group. Do you sit around at home and dicuss Proust while swirling brandy in big round glasses?

If so...sweet.

Hey BG, welcome to the blogging community. Looks to me like the response has been favorable so far. Start posting and join us for karaoke some time. This Saturday night, guys?
