An excellent dinner and a disturbing website

First the website. Thank you, Ms. Barger, for almost making me spit up my excellent meal:

Okay, now on to the meal I almost sprayed on my parents' livingroom carpet.

I decided to try a couple recipes from the delicious Nigella Lawson's excellent "Feast." I made Penne Rigate with tomatoes and vodka. This tasty number completely bypasses putting the alcohol into the sauce and simply has you toss the pasta in it (1/2 a cup of Absolut), the tomato sauce was simple - sauted onion and garlic, add a can of diced tomatoes and a couple dribbles of heavy whipping cream. You toss that into the drunken penne and then grate some fresh parmegiano reggiano (sp?) over that and you've got yourself some killer spiked pasta.

The dessert was also drunk. I made a Guinness chocolate cake - it was moist (I only use that word because it know it to be a favorite of Chad and Jess), dense, dark, and muy delcioso. The cake is topped with a cream cheese frosting making the entire dessert look like the top of a pint of Guinness complete with a thick head of foam.

So now I'm sitting and typing, not reading "Crick Crack, Monkey" by Merle Hodge as I should be doing before bed. What's in store tomorrow? I've got a date with Katy and Jess - we're going to Stillwater for lunch and to take in the sights.

I'm going to bed now.
